What kinds of items can I sell?

  • Household goods, home décor, and kitchenware
  • Estate contents, downsizing lots, and unique treasures
  • See the full What We Accept list for more details.

What items are not accepted?

To maintain quality, we do not accept:

  • Clothing or linens (except vintage, sports, or branded)
  • Damaged or dirty furniture
  • Outdated office/MDF furniture
  • Broken or non-working electronics
  • Baby items, VHS tapes, tube TVs
  • Low-value dollar store goods or used puzzles

How much does it cost to sell with NexBid?

Our seller fees are straightforward:

  • Commission: 25% of the final selling price
  • Listing Fee: $2 per lot (if applicable)
A lot can be a single item or a small grouped bundle.

    Example:
If your item sells for $100:
    You keep $73 after fees ($100 - 25% - $2)

Do I need to prepare the items before drop-off?

Yes, please:

  • Clean your items before bringing them in
  • Test electronics and include remotes or cords if available
  • Group smaller items into “lots” if you can — we can help with this too
  • The cleaner and better-presented your items, the more likely they are to sell for top dollar.

Do I need to photograph or write descriptions?

Nope – we handle that for you!

We professionally photograph, inventory, and write all listings. Our team ensures your items are promoted clearly and attractively to potential bidders.

When do I get paid?

Sellers are paid via e-Transfer or cheque within 10 business days after the auction closes. We’ll contact you to confirm payout details.

What happens if an item doesn’t sell?

All items start at $4 and sell to the highest bidder, so everything sells. If an item doesn’t receive a bid, we’ll contact you with options such as re-listing or pickup.

Can I sell a full estate or large volume of items?

Absolutely! We specialize in:

  • Downsizing sales
  • Estate liquidations
  • Moving or retirement transitions

Contact us to book a consultation. We can handle everything from item removal to full auction coordination.

Do I need an appointment to drop off?

Not for regular drop-offs — just come by Thursdays between 10 AM and 6 PM. For large-volume or estate sellers, please reach out first so we can schedule enough time and space.
